CANDY'S ANGELS

Offering pet assistance and wellness to hospice care patients

We know the unconditional love andemotional support pets provide, but caring for your pet when you are sick, let alone terminal, can be challenging. Candy's Angels has been created to assist those who have entered hospice and now can't care for their pets or were unable to make plans for them prior to going onto hospice care. These beloved pets have spent years giving their guardians a lifetime of loyalty and devotion and when the time comes, many of these pets have nowhere to go and are often sent to a local kill shelter or left out on the street.

In partnership with Dr. Tara Liberman of the Hospice Care Network, Jennifer Brooks and Lisa Blanco of NYC Second Chance Rescue, Bessy Gatto of Gatto Pups and Friends, Melissa Gillespie and Jennifer Devine of Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society, Inc., and led by the President of London Jewelers and founder of The Rescue Paw Foundation, Candy Udell, Candy's Angels will ensure that pets have a place to call home if they are unable to remain with their guardian at the time they enter hospice or if the patient passes and the family is unable to keep the pet.

Nonhwell Health and the Hospice Care Network (HCN) have created Candy's Angels aimed at providing peace of mind for hospice patients while finding loving homes for the pets left behind.

Candy's Angels will provide full veterinarian care for all pets brought into our program.
